AMAC Urges Seniors to Vote and Help Get Out the Vote on November 6th

Our purpose is to ensure that everyone who can vote, Liberal, Democrat, Independent, Conservative and Republican, casts a ballot on Election Day  –

BOHEMIA, NY, Nov 2 – “GOTV is not a new must see cable channel, it’s a mission that AMAC is urging its members, their friends and all older Americans across the country to undertake in the coming days—Get Out The Vote,” said Dan Weber, president of the Association of Mature American Citizens.

He issued the exhortation four days before the country goes to the polls to elect the next president of the United States “because our right to vote is also duty for all citizens.  And, it sends the loudest and clearest message to our lawmakers as to what we, the electorate, want and what we don’t want.”

Weber said it is bad enough that as many as 40% of eligible voters choose not to cast their ballots in any given election, including presidential elections, even though each and every vote counts.  “Bear in mind that the 2000 presidential election was decided by just 600 people in Florida, so don’t let anybody tell you that not voting is an option.”

Every local, state and national election is important because the choices we make at the polls have a direct and lasting impact on our lives, he said.

“But this year the stakes couldn’t be higher because the issues are so critical – our economy, our healthcare, our jobs and our quality of life are at stake.  These are bread and butter issues that we need to deal with for our own sakes as well as for the sakes of our children and grandchildren.”

Weber emphasized that his desire to get as many people as possible to vote on November 6th is not a partisan plea.  “Indeed, AMAC espouses Conservative values, but we also believe that every individual has a right to make up his or her own mind as to who is the best candidate.  Our purpose is to ensure that everyone who can vote, whether he or she be Liberal, Democrat, Independent, Conservative and Republican, casts a ballot on Election Day.”

Here are some tips he had for those who take his words to heart and make a deliberate effort to “Get Out The Vote:”

  • Call or visit your friends and family members and if they are waffling, encourage them to vote.
  • Ask your church leaders to boost voter enthusiasm; they don’t have to tell how to vote, just that they need to vote their conscience.
  • If you are in a service club [i.e. the Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions], talk up the importance of going to the polls on Tuesday among your fellow members.

ABOUT AMAC

The Association of Mature American Citizens [http://www.amac.us] is a vibrant, vital and conservative alternative to those traditional organizations, such as AARP, that dominate the choices for mature Americans who want a say in the future of the nation.  Where those other organizations may boast of their power to set the agendas for their memberships, AMAC takes its marching orders from its members.  We act and speak on their behalf, protecting their interests, and offering a conservative insight on how to best solve the problems they face today.

My husband and I voted for Mitt Romney today.

Obama is evil and hopefully the voters realized that before voting today.
I can never imagine what is going to happen if he should win for another
four years.

Time’s up! No more preaching to the choir! LET’S VOTE!

Not another four years! He doesn’t,t believe on the principals on which we were founded. He is evil and frightening. He has no regard for faith and family.i am very concerned about our childrens future. He takes no responsibility for his inactions and coverups.(benghazi).

Oh and did I say hypocrite?

This shouldn’t even be a contest at this point. Obama offers the country four more years of transformational socialism, which will destroy the fabric of this country. Romney offers proven leadership skills to get the country back on track. Only a total idiot would think this is a difficult choice. Vote for Romney or watch this country fade away.

Oh, Sarah,I can never thank you enough for being Katy’s pheargotphor and one of her best and dearest friends for all these years! Your talent, eye, sensitivity and above all amazing personality shine through in all these photographs. We are so fortunate to have you and your wonderful perception. Katy and Josh are not bad, either, in their beauty, happiness and love .really sparkles . Love you, Ann and Mac

Look at Obama’s eyes, they look devilish. He is not for America. He is a good talker and can smile. To make a good leader you have to be a good follower. I do not think he was a good follower, I believe he talked his way where he is now. Good talkers fool bad listeners. Obama is a phony, look in his eyes, devilish.

Obama will also destroy our economy. Take away all our constitutional rights. Because he belifs he is above the Constitutional laws. He will take away all the benefits the workers of this country have worked for all our lives. Our children and our children’s children will be slaves to the national debt. I pray that he does not win. We should all be on our knees asking that our Heavenly Father has mercy on this country. We should repent of our sins then maybe he will be merciful to us.

One thing we can all do at this point is PRAY for the candidates and states that will make the difference. I printed out a political U.S. map and pray over the “battleground” states and even the light blue and blue states daily, and for specific candidates. We absolutely need to win the Senate and stop Harry Reid from obstructing the presenting of bills from the House. Many people think the Congress hasn’t done anything when in fact the House has sent MANY “passable” bills (including jobs bills) to the Senate, where Harry stops them cold. We must gain control of the Senate and maintain the House. We want strong conservatives in Congress when the Supreme Court vacancies happen, regardless of who is in the Oval Office. We can’t afford any more extreme left justices and there will likely be at least 2 if not more vacancies soon. Any more… Read more »
I read 5 different books including the Amateur, the book 2016 regarding Obama and his past and “Still The Best Hope” by Dennis Prager. The title “Still The Best Hope,” refers to the America our forefathers established at great cost. It is remarkable when anybody agrees about anything these days but all the materials I read by totally different authors shared non contradicting information as well abundant footnotes documenting in detail the time place and by whom all the “facts” were stated. One book had over 70 pages of just footnotes. Conservatives are not making up these things. They really happened and the quotes are real. Rarely are we average Americans privileged to any of this “inside information.” Living in the Chicago area I am very familiar with the corruption which emanates from this area and Obama spent a number of years here sharpening his distructive skills. Our ex-governor is… Read more »
If public would read “The Amateur” and see the movie 2016 Obamas america, they would learn the real truth of his negative desire for USA to decline and disappear. People are so hipnotized by his false smile and “charm”, the do not see him in the real world. His plan is to totally socialize america, to nationalize all businesses and become the world dictator. He has absolutely no business experience, nor diplomatic skills even after 4 years. Mitt Romney has over 25 years business experience and considerable foreign relations experience from working with Dain Capital in dealing with local companies with branches in foreign countries, where he had to work with world leaders. He has been a good family man with 43 years married to Ann. He chose an excellent running mate in Paul Ryan, one with much business experience and us house budget chairman. They are truly a great… Read more »

Frankly, it is frightening to think that Obama could actually win this election and sad that is seems greed influences our elected officials. Everyone I have talked to feels the same but the polls do not reflect.

I would certainly like to talk to someone who believes the Obama rhetoric but I’m concerned that greed and illusion clouds their minds.

I am inundated with pleas for campaign contributions but it doesn’t appear that throwing money at the campaign is benefitting anyone besides the media whic, except for Fox news, seems to be totally biased toward Obama. I ceases watching ABC, CBS and NBC.

Sincerely,

Donna Cavanaugh
